Move your Connected sync folder

The default location of your Connected sync folder, if you or your Connected administrator have not moved it, is as follows:

  • Windows-based computers. My Documents/Connected files
  • macOS-based computers. ~/Documents/Connected files

You can move your Connected folder to another location on your current drive or move it to a different internal drive. You cannot move it to a removable or external drive. The amount of time that it takes the Agent to move the folder and its contents depends on several factors, such as the number and size of files that it must move and the number of other applications currently running on your computer.

NOTE: To ensure that the Agent syncs the correct folder, always use the Agent's preference setting to change your Connected folder; do not manually move or rename it.

To move your Connected sync folder

  1. Click the Connected Folder tab.

  2. Under Current Connected folder, click Move, and then use the dialog box that appears to select a new folder.
  3. On Windows-based computers, click OK.
