Respond to a file share that requires action

After you share a file, Connected does not require any further action from you unless the share fails or requires review. A share fails when administrative policy prevents you from sharing any of its files or, if you have permission to override those restrictions, you do not. A share needs review if it contains files with restricted content that you must decide whether to share despite the content.

If you have shares that require action, the Connected web application displays a flag on the SHARING tab to notify you. For example, the flag flag icon indicating two items indicates that two shares have failed or need review.

NOTE: The web application continues to notify you of a share that needs review until you take the appropriate action on it.

Respond to a file share that requires action

  1. Click the SHARING tab.

The web application lists all shares that you have not deleted and indicates the status of each.

  2. The flag on the Sharing tab includes failed shares in its total until you delete them.

  3. If a share needs review, Connected does not share any of its items, including any files without restricted content, until you complete the review.
