Sync your computers
Agents run in the background of Windows and macOS-based computers and keep them in sync with Connected. This means, files that you put in the Connected folder on your computer automatically sync with Connected and are accessible from your other devices. Similarly, when your files in Connected change, the Agent automatically syncs them to your computer.
Before you begin
Ensure that the Agent is installed on your computer. If it is, on Windows-based computers the Connected icon () appears in the notification area. For macOS, the icon appears in the menu bar. If the Agent is not installed, install it. For installation information, see Install the Agent interactively.
To sync your computers

Place files and folders that you want to sync in your Connected folder. See default folder location.
The default location of your Connected sync folder, if you or your Connected administrator have not moved it, is as follows:
- Windows-based computers.
My Documents/Connected files
- macOS-based computers.
~/Documents/Connected files

You can quickly access your Connected folder from the Connected icon, regardless of its location. See how.To quickly access your Connected folder, right-click the Connected icon (
