Recover deleted sync files using a web browser

Connected retains deleted items for a limited time so that you can recover them using the Connected web application, if necessary. Recovering a file from a deleted folder recovers the folder and the selected file. If you recover a deleted folder, the system recovers all of its contents, too. Connected syncs recovered items with each of your devices.

To recover deleted sync files or folders

  1. Click the FILES tab, and then click the SYNC tile.
  2. Under VIEWING, click Active and Deleted Items.
  3. Select one or more deleted items to recover.

To select multiple items, press and hold either the Command (macOS) or Ctrl (Windows) key while you click each item. To select a group of contiguous items, select the first item, and then press the Shift key while you click the last item.

  4. Click RECOVER (recover icon).

When recovering a file and an active one with the same name already exists in the current folder, the following occurs:

    • If you had uploaded the active file, the deleted file becomes its previous version.
    • If Connected synced the active file from a device, it recovers the deleted file as a conflicted copy.

When recovering a folder and a similarly named active one already exists in the current folder, the system recovers the folder as a conflicted copy.
