Access your backups from a mobile device
Connected stores files that the Agent backs up from your computer in a device-specific backup set. If Connected protects multiple computers for you, you have multiple backup sets. Connected mobile apps, which run on Android and iOS devices, let you view any of your current backup sets and access any of their files from mobile devices. Specifically, using a mobile app you can perform the following actions:
- Search for a file. Search for a file in a specific backup set.

View a file. View the latest version of a file without downloading it.
You can choose to selectively store files locally in the app briefcase. To conserve space on your device, Connected mobile apps do not automatically download files.
- Download a file. Download a file to your device.
Before you begin
To use the Connected mobile app on a mobile device, you must download and install it. The Downloads page of the Connected web application provides links to the app stores where you can download the mobile apps for free. To access the Downloads page, in the upper-right corner of the web application, click your name, and then click Downloads.
To access
- On the FILES tab (or the Files page on iOS devices), browse to or search for a file in a device backup set.

Tap the file, and then do one of the following:
- To view the file, tap to view it.

To download the file, tap Download.
Currently, mobile apps do not let you download folders. To download a folder to your mobile device, use the web application from a mobile web browser.
