View a device's backup status
The Agent's Backup Status dialog box summarizes your device's backup status and provides information about any files or folders that are pending backup or whose backup has failed. It organizes this information across three tabs:

Status tab. Summarizes the device's current backup status.
This tab shows you the last time the Agent backed up items and when the next backup will occur. It also indicates the total size and number of items across three backup categories: protected, pending, and failed. See details.The Status tab provides the following information:

Status. The device's current backup status, as indicated by one of the following icons:

Backup in progress. The Agent is backing up items.

Next backup in <time>. The Agent is waiting to begin its next backup.
IMPORTANT: If the Agent fails to back up an item due to an error that will not resolve itself, such as an Access Denied error, the
icon appears on the status icon. For example:
. This lets you know you have unprotected items that you can view on the Errors tab.

Time of last backup completion. Time when the Agent finished its last backup.

Total backup size. Total size and number of items in your backup set and a graphical breakdown of those values into the following statuses:
- Protected. Items the Agent backed up successfully.

Pending. Items that require backup.
- Failed. Items the Agent failed to back up.

Pending tab. Lists items that require backup.
From this tab, you can view pending items or remove selected ones from your backup set. For more information, see View items pending backup.

Errors tab. Lists items the Agent failed to back up after multiple attempts and now need attention.
You can troubleshoot errors by either correcting the problem based on the information provided or removing the item from your backup set. For more information, see Troubleshoot backup errors.
To view a device's backup status

Right-click the Connected icon (
) in the Windows notification area (or click the icon in the macOS menu bar), and then click Show Backup Status.
TIP: If you keep Backup Status open during a backup, to see the most recent status values, click Refresh.
