Cancel a restore request

You can cancel an active restore request if you decide not to restore its files. Active restore requests are those that are pending or in progress. If you are a data administrator, you can also cancel restore requests for users within your span of administrative control. If you cancel a pending request, you cannot restart it; you must recreate the request. If you cancel a request that is in progress, the device retains any files the Agent restored before receiving the cancellation notification. To see which files the Agent restored, view the restore request's details.

To cancel a restore request

  1. Click the RESTORE tab.

By default, the page displays active restore requests for your devices and, if you are a data administrator, requests you created for other users.

  2. (Data administrators only) To see the requests of a specific user under your span of control, regardless of who created them, under USER, enter the person's email address.
  3. Do one of the following:

    • To cancel a request without viewing its contents, click it, and then click CANCEL RESTORE.
    • To view a request's contents before you cancel it, click its device name. Then, to cancel the request while viewing it, click CANCEL RESTORE.
